About This Policy

Latin Spirit Korea (“LSK”) runs this website and organizes the classes, courses, workshops and events offered on it. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are.

Information We Collect

We collect only what you give us when you use this website:

• Contact form: your name, email address, inquiry type, subject and message.
• Class and event registration: your name, email address, whether you dance as a leader or a follower, your KakaoTalk ID or WhatsApp number, your Instagram ID, what you want to achieve in the class and, for the Language Exchange, the languages you speak and want to practice.
• Payment: the ticket you buy, the payment method, and the sender or payer name you give us so that we can match a bank transfer. We never see or store your card number: card payments are handled by the payment company.
• Crew application: what you write in the application form.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.

Why We Collect It

We use your information to:

• Answer your inquiries about classes, events and the community
• Process your registration, check your payment, confirm your place and keep the leader and follower numbers balanced in each class
• Send you the confirmation and reminder emails of the events you registered for
• Review crew applications
• Send our newsletter, only if you subscribed
• Keep the accounting records the law requires
• Improve our classes and community experience

You give this information voluntarily, and you consent to this use when you submit a form. You may refuse, but then we cannot answer your inquiry or process your registration.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your information only as long as needed for these purposes, or as the law requires. Contact form messages are kept for up to 2 years. Registration and payment records are kept for administration and accounting for as long as the law requires. Other information, such as crew applications and newsletter subscriptions, is kept until you ask us to delete it or you unsubscribe. After that, we delete it.

Who Handles Your Information for Us

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers below, who handle it only to provide their service to us, and when the law requires.

• Contabo: the company whose servers in Europe host this website and its database. This means your information is stored outside Korea.
• Google: sends the emails from our address (confirmations, reminders and answers).
• Toss Payments or PayPal: only if you pay by card, Toss transfer or PayPal. They process your payment and tell us the result.
• The developer who maintains this website for us, who may access the data only for technical maintenance.

Cookies

This website uses only the two cookies it needs to work: one keeps your session and the other remembers your language. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Children Under 14

If you are under 14, a parent or legal guardian must register for you or contact us on your behalf.

Security

We protect your information with an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and by limiting access to the people who run the website.

Your Rights

You may request:

• Access to the personal information we hold about you
• Correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion of your personal information
• Stopping or limiting the use of your information, and withdrawing your consent
